Rotational molding, or rotomolding

Introduction
Rotational molding, or rotomolding, is a thermoforming technique used to produce hollow plastic parts. This process includes the stages of loading raw materials, heating the mold, rotating the mold, cooling, and final product removal. Compared to other plastic molding methods, rotational molding enables the production of seamless, lightweight, and durable parts.

Stages of Rotational Molding

Loading raw material: Thermoplastic polymer powder (such as polyethylene) is poured into the mold

Heating and rotating: The mold is placed inside an oven while simultaneously rotating around two axes. This rotation ensures uniform distribution of the material over the inner surface of the mold.

Cooling: After the shape is fully formed, the mold is cooled so the part solidifie

Product removal: The final part is taken out of the mold and prepared for use
